Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop test strategy, test plan from designs, specifications, and user requirements
- Develop and enhance manual test cases and automation test scripts
- Perform functional and integration testing of both GUI, non-GUI (transactional) systems
- Partner with developers to improve and implement automate test solutions
- Perform software installations, configurations, and debugging of test environments
- Conduct demonstrations and training with other departments and for support teams
- Assist the customer support team troubleshoot application issues in production
- Train and mentor new quality engineers
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years QA experience with in-depth understanding of software testing principles and techniques
- Experience coding or automation skills using Java, Perl, VB, LoadRunner, Selenium, JMeter (3+ years of concentrated experience)
- Solid knowledge of any type of UNIX environment
- Intermediate knowledge of XML, Soap, HTTP, and web services transaction development or testing
- Intermediate knowledge of relational databases. Must be proficient creating SQL queries using tools like DbVisualizer, Microsoft Query or command-line
- Proven solid communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Proven solid troubleshooting and investigative skills
- Proven self-motivated, team player with service-oriented mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
- Transaction processing experience
- Agile (SCRUM), Rally, WebLogic, Subversion, DbVisualizer, SoapUI experience
- Intermediate knowledge of Java, Oracle, XML, J2EE, or web services
