Senior Software Engineer – Java Backend

Primary Responsibilities:

• Requirement analysis
• Design, implement and maintain Java application within all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Develop, test, implement and maintain application software working with established processes
• Communicate effectively with other engineers and QA
• Establish, refine and integrate development and test environment tools and software as needed
• Identify production and non-production application issues
• Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications of Java developed projects
• CICD implementation or integration
• Provide technical support and consultation for Java application and infrastructure questions Serve as a mentor to less experienced Developers
• Deployment/Post deployment and maintenance 
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of progressive experience in Software Engineering
• Cloud Experience in Open Shift or Kubernetes or Public cloud
• Experience or knowledge in Java, Spring boot Microservices using Maven 
• Experience or knowledge in UNIX and ETL process
• Experience or knowledge in Streaming technologies: Apache Kafka, KSQL
• Experience or knowledge in Database – Oracle, SQL, PL SQL, MySQL
• Experience or knowledge in CICD tools – Jenkins
• Experience or knowledge in Versioning tools – GitHub

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience or knowledge in Python
• Experience or knowledge in Monitoring tools like – Grafanna
• Experience or knowledge in Agile – DevOps, Scrum, CA Rally
• Experience or knowledge in Front-end technologies like Angular and ReactJs
• United States Health insurance domain knowledge
• Hands-on on above technology and other opensource software/tools
