Optum Health Analytics is putting intelligence at the core of decision making by advancing a data driven culture through the connection of critical data assets and delivery of integrated business reporting & analytics. We are looking for a high performing candidate to fill a Data Analyst role on our fun, high performing, and growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our healthcare data. You will work closely with Data Engineers, Business Intelligence Engineers, and key stakeholders to deliver business value.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our Snowflake environment
- Create and maintain data models and schemas for various data sources and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity
- Develop and maintain automated data quality checks and data monitoring processes to identify and resolve data issues
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Perform data analysis to identify business problems and deliver value
- Problem solve and troubleshoot issues independently and as a part of a team
- Communicate updates, changes or issues to wider team and stakeholders

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years SQL experience, including complex queries and optimization
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
- Proven problem-solving skills; the ability to systematically analyze problems, draw relevant conclusions and devise appropriate courses of action
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of Epic Clarity Certification
- Experience with Snowflake Platform
- Experience with Data Visualization tools e.g. Power Bi, Tableau
- Familiarity with Azure Data Factory for ETL
- Proven excellent research skills to find relevant data needed for a business need
- Demonstrated ability to work with ETL tools to develop, improve and maintain pipelines
- Proven ability to work in a global, cross team collaboration to deliver quality results

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
