This position is full-time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to work during our normal business hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 3 months of on-the-job training. The hours during training will be 8:30am – 5:00pm CST, Monday – Friday.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Posting of payments and denials into the billing system
  • Balancing batches to bank reports
  • Reaching out to payers for additional information to accurately post response to billing system
  • Working unidentified cash and determine what needs to be done with the payment
  • Other projects as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 1+ years of experience in accounts receivable OR accounts payable
  • Proficiency with Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate multiple programs and learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Ability to work Monday – Friday, during our normal business hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm CST, including the flexibility to work occasional overtime, based on the business need

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in a related environment (i.e., office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.) using phones and computers as the primary job tools
  • Ability to understand OR read EOB (explanation of benefits)

 

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

 

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to multi-task and understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product

The hourly range for this role is $16.88 to $33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
