The role of a Transaction Analyst is to pursue financial savings on behalf of our customer using the legal theories of Coordination of Benefits with Automobile insurance and administering workers compensation and other coverage exclusions. May include initiating telephone calls to members, providers, and other insurance companies to gather coordination of benefits. Ensure adherence to state and federal compliance policies, reimbursement policies and contract compliance.
This position is full-time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to work during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 4:00pm (with some flexibility). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be during our normal business hours.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
- Review claims platforms, research, and analyze treatment to determine claims relatedness
- Validate contact information and accident-related injuries
- Research and gather appropriate plan documents from multiple sources
- Prepare Subrogation demand packages for submission to insurance carriers
- Outbound Calls to obtain information from attorneys and insurance companies

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
- Must be 18 years of age OR older
- 1+ years of healthcare claims experience
- Ability to work Monday – Friday, during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 4:00pm, including the flexibility to work occasional overtime, based on the business need
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience working with medical codes (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
- Experience working with subrogation
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft OneNote, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams)
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

The hourly range for this role is $19.86 to $38.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
