The Data Engineering Analyst belongs to Self-Organizing and Cross Functional development team and is able to convert sprint backlog items to shippable product.
The candidate collectively owns end to end development responsibility for a given Agile Team / POD. He / she will design, code and test the user stories committed for a sprint.
Works independently under limited supervision. Possess skills to effectively deal with issues, challenges within field of specialization to develop application solutions.
Looking for a Data engineer who has the know-how on Optum, interact with Private and Public Cloud infrastructure and services. will be responsible for developing data integrations and services.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Be technically hands-on and excellent in Design, Coding and Testing
- Build scalable, fault-tolerant batch and real-time data ingestion pipelines, data transformation and data mining jobs
- Create and maintain data-driven APIs to support a wide range of data integrations and data services
- Implement best practices for Python application development
- Create robust ETL pipeline using ANSI SQL by referring BRD to meet business requirements and data SLA.
- Own or assist with incident and problem management, meet SLA
- Quality first approach, Ensure end to end product/data quality through testing automation.
- Collaborate with the rest of the agile team at daily stand ups and other agile ceremonies
- Be a Team Player in an Agile team within a Release Team / Value Stream
- Promote and develop the culture of collaboration, accountability and quality
- Provide technical support to the team and help the team in resolving technical issues
- Closely work with Tech Lead, Onshore partners, deployment and infrastructure teams
- Basic, structured, standard approach to work

Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience with software framework development using python and its inbuilt frameworks
- 2+ years of experience with Docker, Kubernetes
- 2+ years of experience developing data pipelines, ETL jobs using Python
- 2+ years of working experience in ELT/ETL, write queries using ANSI SQL
- Working experience in CI/CD pipeline (test, build, deployment and monitoring automation)
- Good exposure of quality control, testing automation
- Sound knowledge of data model, schemas and algorithms
- Knowledge of software configuration management and packaging
- Good understanding of Data / Information security
- Good in Data Structure, Algorithms and Design Patterns
- Understanding of Cloud concept. Good to have Pyspark, Databricks knowledge
- Demonstrates hands-on knowledge of Open Source adoption and use cases
- Product / Project / Program Related Tech Stack:
- Python, UNIX
- SQL (Teradata Platform Preferred)
- DevOps: Jenkins, GitHub
- Scheduling: Airflow, Grafana
- Development Methodology / Engineering Practices: Agile (Scrum / Kanban / SAFe)
- Demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- College degree in computer science, business, or a related field
- Experience with data streaming
- Experience with relational and Cloud databases
- Proven aptitude for learning and be a great team player – solid track record
