Primary Responsibilities:

  • Research and adapt best practices – This role revolves around implementing the clinical domain knowledge and business intelligence skills to Risk adjustment domain with an aim of bringing down the overall healthcare cost
  • Leverage UHG’s Big Data + Cloud infrastructure + AI capabilities to tackle problems across Optum Health operations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide solutions
  • Implement data integration pipelines to ingest, process and store large volumes of data from various sources
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security by implementing appropriate data governance practices. Support Data Governance activities
  • Monitor and optimize the performance, scalability and cost effectiveness of the data platform. Own system upgrades and patch up exercises
  • Open to adopt new tools, technologies, and methodologies to ensure that the team stays at the frontier of Analytics
  • Coaching and mentoring of other team members and helping them in technical guidance and best practice

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors / 4 year university degree
  • 6+ years of experience with SQL , Snowflake, Python
  • Data plus domain knowledge with around 3+ years of experience in US Health care domain, deep data analysis and machine learning
  • Hands-on experience in cloud data platform engineering, on-prem big-data platform engineering
  • Hands-on experience on SQL , Python
  • Good knowledge around Descriptive Business Analytics techniques like Hypothesis testing, Clustering, Segmentation etc.
  • Proven excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions
  • Professional, service oriented, proactive, and flexible
  • Proven ability to work well both independently and within a team in a deadline driven environment
  • Proven interpersonal, collaboration, diplomatic, influencing, planning and organizational skills
  • Proven relationship management skills to partner and influence across organizational lines
  • Proven ability to consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Proven ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive and problem-solving techniques
