As a senior member of the OptumRx CPS FP&A team, this position will report to the Sr Director of Finance and play a key role as the financial advisor and strategic partner to top CPS business Executives.

 

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Leadership
    • Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes for Optum Corporate
    • Own and manage the consolidated forecast process across Optum Corporate functions
  • Business Planning & Analysis
    • Develop and oversee business planning initiatives
    • Conduct ad-hoc financial and operational analyses to support cost optimization and strategic decision-making
  • Analytics & Metrics Development
    • Design and implement business analytics frameworks and performance metrics reporting
    • Translate complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership
  • System Enhancement & Optimization
    • Drive system improvement initiatives to enhance financial and operational efficiency
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement technology and process upgrades
  • Executive Advisory & Influence
    • Serve as a financial advisor to senior leadership, influencing decisions through data-driven insights
    • Evaluate financial plans and operational metrics to guide strategic direction
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead and mentor a team of two financial analysts
    • Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of relevant, high-impact financial experience
  • 1+ years in FP&A, P&L ownership, or consolidation type role

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in pharmacy, PBM, or pricing
  • Proven solid analytics background and attention to details
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed organization and with cross-functional partners

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
