We are seeking a skilled and motivated Developer to join the Accessibility Center of Excellence team. This role involves building and improving technical features across both frontend and backend systems, with a solid focus on accessibility, authentication, and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating inclusive digital experiences and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Document and develop technical features in existing frontend and backend application based off user stories
- Develop unit/functional test for features including accessibility test utilizing accessibility SDKs (i.e. axe-core, evinced, other)
- Develop end-to-end test utilizing testing frameworks
- Identify and document issues with front end or backend layer in a distributed system
- Troubleshoot and design solutions to issues while working collaboratively to implement the best solution
- Be able to enhance and implement end-to-end features related to Authentication/Authorization utilizing OAuth/OIDC
- Enhance/implement DevOps practices related to CI/CD pipelines, Github actions, etc.

Required Qualifications:
- Experience working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
- Experience with large, multi-tiered complex projects
- Experience writing tests and contributing to technical documentation
- Knowledge of digital accessibility standards such as Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) guidelines and specifications, PDF UA standards, Section 508
- Working knowledge and experience of Database design and Implementation best practices
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of Testing Frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Mocha, other)
- Knowledge of SQL, MySQL, Redis
- Knowledge of Linux
- Expertise with ReactJS, Typescript, JSON, Rest API, NPM, NodeJS, NextJS, ChartJS
- Expertise with OAuth/OIDC
- Expertise with Git/Github
- Proven ability to troubleshoot issues in multi-tier distributed system
- Proven to be self-motivated with a desire to improve applications with respect to functionality, performance and maintainability
- Proven ability to thrive in fast paced environment and adapt to changes quickly
