Senior Elastic APM Software Engineer

This role is needed to help my team build and maintain the Enterprise Elastic APM tool. The candidate will assist our team in incorporating AI tools such as Github Copilot for source code and Github Actions administration as well as leveraging M365 Copilot to help with any scripting updates.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement scalable Elastic Stack solutions tailored to enterprise needs, including Elastic Cloud deployments
- Lead migration efforts from legacy systems to Elastic Stack-based platforms
- Design and deploy Elastic Stack components in containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Manage and optimize Elastic Stack deployments on Linux VMs and Elastic Cloud
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data ingestion, indexing, and visualization strategies
- Ensure system reliability, performance, and security across all deployments
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams
- Document architecture decisions, deployment procedures, and best practices

Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience with the full Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats)
- Hands-on experience with Elastic Cloud deployment and management
- Solid experience with Linux VM administration and deployment
- Solid background in system architecture and enterprise migration projects
- Proficiency in container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
- Ability to troubleshoot performance issues and optimize Elastic Stack configurations
- Proven excellent communication and documentation skills
