Optum Tech Strategy and Operations team supports and enables cross-functional teams to progress our enterprise-wide transformation Strategy by exceeding the needs of its customers, partners, and employees by delivering strategic and operational solutions that unlock value. This includes the enterprise strategy for AI development and delivery, Optum Tech Learning, and operations in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with broad impact across the enterprise.  

 

As the Senior Administrative Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to one SLT and one VP. You will manage leaders’ calendars, schedules, and travel itineraries as well as performing common administrative tasks, such as collaborating with other admins to maintain calendars, set up meetings, make travel arrangements, and handle general administrative responsibilities. This position is on-site at the Eden Prairie office.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage an intricately detailed schedule
  • Assist with the management of travel and expenses, including reconciling and submitting reports
  • Be the primary interface in making meeting arrangements and ensuring presence at key company meetings/venues
  • Assist with creating and editing power presentations, e-mail communications and reports
  • Determine priority of matters of attention for the executives, redirect matters to staff to handle, or handle matters personally, as appropriate
  • Handle printing and copying 
  • Ensure Leaders are prepared for critical meeting – materials, travel, attendance
  • Request follow ups and take follow up actions to support project deliverables
  • Monitor email and the review/approval system to identify urgent requests

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED
  • 2+ years of experience as an administrative professional including managing:
    • multiple tasks/calendars for leadership
    • travel arrangements and creating and submitting expense reports
    • meetings and events
    • office documentation and supplies 
    • confidential and sensitive information per policies
  • Ability to work outside of typical working hours when necessary

  • Proven solid written and verbal communication, convey messages with accurately and diplomatically
