Candidate with position (Director – Azure Cloud) is expected to lead cloud engineering efforts to build cloud platforms and lead cloud migration efforts. The candidate should be solid in the cloud engineering having experience in cloud architecture specially on cloud security, networking etc. The candidate should be able to create and understand the technical architecture and perform other software engineering duties as needed. The candidate also is expected to look for automation opportunities specially around cloud infrastructure, create cloud governance standards and enforce them.
This role will also be responsible for creating roadmaps, managing end-to-end delivery for scrum teams. The role is expected to direct and work closely with Product Owners, Architects, and engineers to achieve product objectives. This role is also expected to collaborate with key stack holders, who primarily are going to be adapters of cloud platform and services that his team builds.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Architecture
- Candidate should be solid in Azure cloud engineering/technologies
- Candidate will be responsible for making sure applications are secure in cloud from the perspective of data leaks, un-authorized access, cyber attacks etc.
- Responsible for making sure application and infrastructure is vulnerability free and all government security standards ARC AMP, MARSE etc is a must working knowledge of Gov Cloud controls
- Candidate will be responsible to make sure all PLM activities are done on time
- Design architecture and review on various aspects like extensibility, scalability
- Ensuring that all infrastructure has appropriate back up and DR (With proper RTO and RPO) strategy in place as per the client requirement
- Responsible for ensuring infrastructure cost in cloud (Azure) is within the budget. Analyzing and proposing deep architecture level changes to save infrastructure cost
- Responsible for creating solid architecture from security, cost, scalability perspective
- People and Stakeholder Mgmt
- Responsible for creating high performing team to deliver the complex cloud migration and other cloud assignments
- Responsible for learning and career growth of team members
- Setting up the goals of the team. Work with the team members to ensure that their long-term aspiration are being met
- Own the relationship with application business owner to ensure alignment of priorities and direction
- Participate in stakeholder discussions (business customers, IT partners) along with Service Managers/Service Directors for understanding business needs
- Participate in meetings/walkthrough session/group meetings to understand business problem/objective of project
- Work with business partners to ensure appropriate prioritization for scheduled maintenance, including coordination of priorities across applications when required
- Delivery, Agile, Reporting
- Deliver the project with multiple scrum teams, following the high standards of agile
- Be able to envision the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements; and be able to define technologies, patterns and frameworks to materialize it
- Understand various disparate views of the system
- Be able to define in-scope, out-of-scope and taken assumptions while creating effort estimates
- Adherence to the defined delivery process/guidelines like Problem Management, Incident Management, Change Management, SLA Compliance, productivity and other application goals, etc.
- Encourage domain and technical knowledge and aim to build an SME(s) in specific functional and technical component
- Excellent in design thinking and approach to solve business problem by applying suitable technologies (cost efficient, high performance, resilient and scalable)
- Prepare and present weekly/monthly status reports and daily project level status reports to both the US and India team members
- Ensure compliance with organization and project defined standards and processes
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from recognized University
- 16+ years of overall IT experience
- 3+ years of working experience with Azure and other public Cloud like AWS
- Hands-on experience in the Ai tools
- Good experience in the Public health (Eligibility / Enrollment)
- Solid experience of managing development delivery in agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban
- Solid experience in cloud architecture specially with the perspective of building secure, scalable and cost effective platform/applications
- Solid experience working with following cloud technologies from the perspective of creating, reviewing architecture and design:
- Terraform, Containerization (Dockers, Kubernetes), CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Cloud-native architectures, including public cloud PaaS / IaaS, micro-services, Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, Functional
- App, Cloud Security, Event Hub, LAW, Cloud Storage, Active Directory, Virtual Scale Sets, Virtual Machine, Azure Kubernetes, Azure Container Registry, Storages, Virtual Network, Load Balancers,
- NSG, Security Groups, Firewall, Monitoring, Github, GitAction, Azure WAF, Azure Frontdoor
- Working experience of production support and good knowledge on ITSM processes Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Configuration Management, Common
- security vulnerabilities, their causes and implementations to fix the same
- Experience in managing large scale maintenance exercises, infrastructure or software upgrades, Business Continuity Plans, Disaster recovery exercises, Product Life Cycle Management – PLM
- Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and leverage them to execute on the use cases given to solve business problems
- Proven good oral and written communication Skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare domain knowledge such as Medicaid and Medicare system
- Healthcare compliances such as HIPAA, NIST, FedRAMP, MARS-E
