Per Diem Pharmacy Technician – Fort Myers, FL

We seek a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Hours:  This role is per diem; you will be working on an as needed basis only to provide coverage for PTO’s and call-outs at home site as well as two additional sites (additional sites are up to 1 hour away from home site)

Pharmacy Hours:  Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm (lunch 12:30pm – 1pm)

Location:  3763 Evans Ave Ste 140 Fort Myers, FL 33901 (home site)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Florida
• 6+ months of Pharmacy Technician experience
• Must have open ability to work on an as needed basis only and have ability to provide coverage when needed at home site and two additional sites in the area (additional sites are up to 1 hour away from home site)
• Access to reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification 
• Bilingual Spanish
