JOB TITLE:    Software Engineer

LOCATION:    11000 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)

DUTIES:    Research, design, and develop computer software or specialized utility programs. Duties include: Design, develop and manage distributed computing, Microservices Platform; Develop high performing Transactional and Non-Transactional Big Data Platforms; Participate and contribute in architecture discussions a with Senior Architects, Product Owners, and Engineering Teams; Propose Innovative Solutions for the existing problems of Products; Develop long term architecture roadmap for the existing products; Constantly review security aspects and propose architectural solution for security vulnerabilities; Provide technology leadership to the team; Mentor and guide them whenever required; Develop pioneering approaches to emerging technology and industry trends; and Participate in Design reviews, Test Case reviews, and Production Support readiness. Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.

REQUIREMENTS:    Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related computer occupation. Position requires five (5) years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the following: 

•    Azure Cloud Solutions;
•    Azure Cloud technologies: Azure and AWS;
•    Streaming solutions using Kafka;
•    Infrastructure as code tools using Terraform;
•    Object Oriented Programming Languages in Java, Python, or C#;
•    CI/CD using Jenkins and Azure DevOps;
•    REST APIs and SOAP;
•    Ruby and Rails; 
•    J2ee/Mainframe application design;
•    Java frameworks using Spring or Hibernate;
•    Build tools such as Maven or Gradle;
•    Front-end technologies: Servlets, Java Script, jQuery, JSP, Struts and JSTL; and
•    JEE Platform technologies: JMS, JDBC, and EJB.

RATE OF PAY:  $135,200 / per year
