Primary Responsibilities:

  • Gain real-world experience by working on actual internal audits
  • Receive formal training on how to plan and execute operational audits, including performing risk assessments, documenting business processes, risks, internal controls, and developing audit testing procedures
  • Perform audit assignments, such as participating in process and internal control walkthroughs, preparing audit narratives/flow charts, performing audit testing procedures, identifying internal control gaps, and summarizing audit testing results
  • Learn excellent project management skills to allow multiple projects to run concurrently and ensure timely completion
  • Build strong relationships with all levels of management and senior leaders, including presenting audit status, issues identified, recommendations, and corrective/preventative actions performed by management

Required Qualifications:  

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting from an accredited college/university during the duration of the internship. Internships are not intended for graduating seniors
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office  (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and leadership potential
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated presentation skills
