Primary Responsibilities:

  • Stay updated on the latest cyber regulatory developments, both international and domestic, by monitoring regulatory bodies, government agencies, and industry news sources
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of new cyber regulations to identify their potential impact on the organization’s information security policy and processes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as legal, compliance, IT, and operations teams, to assess the organization’s state of compliance with relevant cyber regulations
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive cyber regulatory program that includes policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
  • Provide guidance and support to teams across the organization to ensure understanding and adherence to cyber regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with external vendors, consultants, or legal counsel to obtain expert advice on complex regulatory matters, if necessary
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings, attestations, reports, or certifications as required by regulatory bodies or state agencies
  • Monitor and track regulatory deadlines, ensuring timely submission of regulatory filings and attestations
  • Collaborate with senior management to communicate the organization’s cyber regulatory strategy, objectives, and progress to relevant stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or 5+ years equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in regulatory/security policy
  • 3+ years of experience managing a program/team

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Proven solid knowledge of international and domestic cyber regulatory frameworks, such as HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27001, etc.
  • Proven experience in managing cyber regulatory programs, including identifying and interpreting new regulations, assessing impacts, and ensuring compliance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex regulatory requirements and recommendations to non-technical audiences
  • Experience with regulatory filings, attestations, and reporting requirements, including knowledge of relevant documentation and recordkeeping practices
  • Ability to adapt to changing regulatory landscapes and stay up-to-date with emerging cyber regulatory trends and developments

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
