Field Readiness is the team that supports new product launches and enhancements to existing products within the OptumHealth Organization on behalf of the Growth Office/Sales Organization.   Our purpose is to ensure Sales and Marketing readiness prior to products being released to the market and UHC.  Field Readiness facilitates the interconnection of multiple teams within the organization that allow products to launch successfully.

 

Position supports the Behavioral Health business, sunsetting and enhancements impacting clients and members across approx. 7 direct and indirect offerings driving employer goal of ~350 million PTRR product sales.  Candidate needs ability to: influence without authority, stay connected with BH product businesses around increasingly complex product strategy and align work across product leaders that increasingly impact other business units.  This role has to independently prioritize and make decisions by utilizing your experiences and understanding of needs of the business and the broader organization.  Based on that knowledge enables the role to manage multiple updates with connection points and the downstream impacts to growth, client and member all while partnering with the dedicated solution sales consulting team and account management organization.

 

Big picture thinking is required and ability to make connections across the UHG organization is a critical skill while navigating and developing relationships in a complex organizational structure and escalate as needed and provide report outs to leader and growth leadership as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Connect messages and product components by thinking strategically outside of single product solutions and how the market buys Optum products
  • Lead Marketing, Salesforce, Enterprise Operational Readiness, Market Validation for effective product launches
  • Establish repeatable systems and capabilities that optimize the intake process, enable data tracking 
  • Responsible for autonomously coaching, guiding, consulting, to manage and cultivate feedback and relationships with various personalities to ensure that the product launch needs are aggregated, achieved, and communicated effectively
  • Ensure product alignment to overall Optum strategy and Value proposition and create awareness to the broader Optum integration story
  • Proactively follow new and enhanced products as they move through the Accelerate process, the product development process, specifically when they are in development, build, and launch phases
  • Coach, guide, consult, manage to level-set all members of the product, product marketing and enterprise readiness teams on the necessary requirements and timelines/due dates necessary to launch a new product or product enhancement and make recommendations to drive effectiveness and consistency and ideal delivery of the information
  • Strategically partner with key stakeholders in the product development process and consult on market requirements, sales messaging and optimal timing to maximize product potential in the selling cycle
  • Be the final stage gate prior to product release to support achievement of revenue goals or utilization rates of products and capabilities
  • Determine the most effective delivery method for content and assist in managing product communication plans
  • Design and manage front end readiness for training sessions in collaboration with Field Readiness Specialist and Sales Knowledge and Learning team
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of business experience which may include but not limited to areas such as sales, product, operations, account management, training
  • Proven basic understanding or familiarity with health services including clinical, behavioral, physical health, complex medical, financial services, wellness, pharmacy solutions and operations
  • Proven solid facilitation skills with the ability to drive decisions and actions without authority and execute large group webinars
  • Proven solid detail orientation, organization, follow through and problem-solving skills, self-starter and resourceful individual who drives to solve problems
  • Demonstrated success working effectively in a highly matrixed and dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated exceptional listening, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all organizational levels
  • Proven solid sense of urgency and drive for results
  • Demonstrated business acumen and solid understanding of sales process
  • Proven solid project management skills
  • Proven solid history of quickly building relationships, gaining credibility and partnering with business leaders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient with Webex, Sharepoint, and HUB, Library and KIC capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and excellent PowerPoint skills
  • Established relationships within Optum, UnitedHealthcare E&I national markets, local markets, public sector or other channel partners
  • Knowledge of Optum products and services

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
