This role is going to provide Threat and vulnerability Management & Penetration Testing (VAPT) support to the Optum Connect (“OCT’) clients in Manage Shared Security Model – planning and delivering support strategies, working to proactively monitor problems, change processes, and handle issues to ensure our customers success.

Candidate will be working on Security Assessment, provide security consulting, collaborate and lead projects with internal and external stakeholders.

Primary Responsibility:

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of demonstrating experience in planning and executing penetration tests/red team exercises against web applications, containers, APIs, network devices, databases, operating systems, and various cloud technologies
  • Experience with validation of vulnerabilities in Applications, infrastructure and Operating Systems
  • Experience in Black, grey and white box penetration testing
  • Experience with Mobile application penetration testing
  • Experience with API penetration testing
  • Experience with Infrastructure Penetration Testing
  • Experience with Secure Code Review (Code Security Review)
  • Experience with conducting configuration reviews of Windows, Linux, UNIX, environment, Databases, and Network devices
  • Experience in Agile methodology like daily standups, sprint planning, retrospective using tools such as Bluesight
  • Hands-on experience with opensource and commercial security assessment tools such as Burp Suite, Kali-Linux, Appscan, Nessus, Qualys, Zenmap etc.
  • Good understanding of penetration testing techniques and methodologies
  • Familiarity with OWASP, emerging threat patterns and compliance standards
  • Understanding of OWASP top ten vulnerabilities
  • Proficiency with TCP/ IP and Networks including Firewall, IDS/IPS, Routers, Switches, and network architecture
  • Ability to assess and evaluate new applications and software, develop and execute test security cases, understanding of emerging threat landscape, ability to locate threats/vulnerabilities, pentest tools and software frameworks
  • Proven effective communication and reporting skills
  • Familiarity with basic scripting such as: Shell, Python, PERL, etc.
  • Proven Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
  • Proven Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
  • Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Ability to lead discussions, presentations, remediation coordination and support
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
  • Proficient in MS Office for making reports and sharing with customer
