Primary Responsibilities:

• Designing, coding, and testing Java applications based on business requirements
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop software solutions
• Debugging and resolving software defects
• Writing clean and efficient code using best practices
• Participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in production environments
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical guidance
• Documenting software designs, technical specifications, and test plans
• Understanding the fundamentals of Apache Spark and Scala programming language
• Developing Spark applications to process and analyze large datasets
• Writing Spark code using Scala to perform data transformations and aggregations
• Troubleshooting and debugging Spark applications to identify and resolve issues
• Following best practices for Spark and Scala development, including code organization, testing, and documentation

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• 4+ years of solid knowledge and understanding of Java programming language
• Experience with database systems and SQL
• Experience with data manipulation and analysis using SQL
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git
• Familiarity with build tools like Maven or Gradle
• Familiarity with Scala programming language
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
• Proficiency in Java frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate
• Proven excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proven good communication and teamwork abilities
