Data Engineering Consultant – Power BI, SQL, ADF

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop end to end innovative analytic solutions on PowerBI Cloud, create actionable insights and drive better decisions and performance to help the business achieve its business objectives
• Establish a deep understanding of the business and collaborate with Business SMEs to shape the reporting solutions provided
• Should be able to write & interpret advanced & optimized SQL queries
• Develop visionary and creative analytic solutions to measure business performance; identifies / quantifies drivers, risks and opportunities and defines solutions to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities
• Influences senior leadership to adopt new ideas, projects and / or approaches
• Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes
• Investigating problem areas; Collaborating on solutions to those identified problem areas and following the software development lifecycle.
• Analyzes, develops, and implements computer application enhancements for end users
• Performs all tasks in the development life cycle including requirements analysis, design, development, and testing
• Supports existing reporting solutions including developing fixes as necessary and providing support for complex issues
• Gathers, understands, and documents user requirements and technical specifications. Follows all software requirements development standards
• Utilizes available programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation
• Basic, structured, standard approach to work

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering roles in  SQL
• 3+ years Power BI, Azure Synapse, ADF, Azure Data Warehouse
• 3+ years Azure Cloud technologies
• Experience with ETL processes and data integration using Azure Data Factory.
• Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with Power BI semantic model creation, report development, and data visualization, using Azure Data
• Warehouse as primary data sources.
• Proficiency in Azure Cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Analytics
• Proven excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues
• Solid communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Understanding of data modeling concepts and relational database systems, with expertise in Azure Data Warehouse
• Solid programming skills in Python , and other scripting languages
• Familiarity with Databricks for data engineering, advanced analytics, and machine learning tasks
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred Qualification:

• Microsoft certifications in Power BI, Azure Cloud or related fields
