Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of software engineers to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality software products
  • Setting strategic direction and goals for the engineering team in alignment with the overall company objectives
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members, helping them grow and develop their skills
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as product management, design, and quality assurance to ensure successful project delivery
  • Managing resources, budgets, and timelines to effectively execute projects
  • Identifying and addressing any technical challenges or roadblocks that may arise during the development process
  • Implementing best practices, processes, and tools to improve the software development lifecycle
  • Monitoring and evaluating team performance, providing feedback, and implementing strategies for continuous improvement
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends and technologies to make informed decisions and drive innovation within the team
  • Representing the engineering team in meetings with senior management and stakeholders, communicating progress, challenges, and project updates
  • Fostering a positive and collaborative team culture that encourages creativity, innovation, and a Solid work ethic
  • Conducting regular performance reviews and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to team members to support their professional growth and development
  • Participating in the recruitment and hiring process to build a skilled and diverse engineering team
  • Ensuring that the team adheres to coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes to maintain code quality and reliability
  • Managing relationships with external vendors, contractors, or partners involved in software development projects
  • Overseeing the planning and execution of software releases, including coordinating deployment activities and ensuring smooth transitions to production environments
  • Monitoring industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for process improvements, tool enhancements, or new product features
  • Collaborating with other department heads and stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business goals and priorities
  • Handling escalations and resolving conflicts within the team or with other departments in a timely and effective manner
  • Acting as a technical liaison between the engineering team and other parts of the organization, communicating technical concepts and requirements in a clear and understandable way
  • Must be open to work and support over 7 days week, and also in different timings in morning and late shifts depending on need
  • Manages and is accountable for professional employees and/or supervisors
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with database technologies commonly used in .NET development, such as SQL Server
  • Experience with database design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance
  • Experience in container orchestration using Kubernetes for automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications
  • Experience in collaborating with DevOps teams for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Experience in applying design patterns to solve common software design challenges and improve code quality
  • Knowledge of web development technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks
  • Knowledge of agile development practices and DevOps principles
  • Knowledge of data storage, retrieval, indexing, and query optimization techniques
  • Knowledge of container networking, storage, and security concepts
  • Knowledge of anti-patterns and when to avoid certain design patterns based on specific requirements
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns
  • Understanding of the cloud computing industry, including trends, technologies, and competitors
  • Understanding of data integration, migration, and synchronization processes
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and how it relates to containerization
  • Proficiency in .NET framework and related technologies such as C#, VB.NET, .NET Core, etc.
  • Proficiency in database technologies commonly used at Azure, such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Database
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker for creating, deploying, and managing containers
  • Proficiency in software design principles and patterns, such as SOLID principles, design patterns, and architectural patterns like MVC, MVVM, etc.
  • Familiarity with Azure services and solutions, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS)
  • Familiarity with database security, compliance, and disaster recovery best practices
  • Familiarity with container registries, container monitoring, and logging tools
  • Familiarity with design pattern libraries and frameworks that facilitate the implementation of patterns
  • Awareness of security and compliance requirements in software development
  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven solid problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues related to containerization and orchestration
