As a Senior Business Data Analyst, you will grow and develop as you conduct and manage outcomes of various studies. As a key member of the Plan Finder (PF) team, you will be empowered to impact the health care system through the analysis and interpretation of data, and presenting recommendations for business solutions. This position is part of the Plan Finder (PF) team.  PF is a critical operation for Medicare clients, where one PF error excludes the client from the Medicare government portal used during the open enrollment period.  PF directly impacts marketplace participation for Medicare plans. The PF process involves file creation, quality assurance, data submission, analyzing and responding to exceptions following a regulated schedule.  The Price Accuracy Index (PAI) reports are initiatives to improve Star Ratings in the Medicare marketplace with impact to the company’s growth and financial objectives.  Do you have the technical skills (MS Excel, MS Access, etc.) we are looking for?  Do you have strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills? Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, review, and forecast data for operational and business planning
  • Present analysis and recommendations for operational and business review / planning
  • Support short- and long-term operational / strategic business activities through analysis
  • Develop, recommend and implement business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes 
  • Perform additional duties as required and/or assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional work experience in the following:
    • Gathering and documenting requirements from the client / business
    • Performing business and / or data analysis
  • PBM (ORx) industry experience and / or Medicare Part D experience
  • Intermediate or better proficiency using MS Excel (must know how to create & use pivot tables)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Medicare STAR Ratings
  • Knowledge of Benefits, Pricing, or Adjudication processes within RxClaim platform
  • Intermediate or better proficiency using MS Access (know how to run queries)
  • Excellent communication, time/project management, problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate analysis including trends and opportunities to clients and the business in writing and verbally
  • Ability to problem solve including multiple priorities and research conflicting and/or inaccurate data  
  • Ability to work independently, and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
