Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee management of provider credentialing, enrollment, data and database maintenance and improvement
  • Guide reporting and extraction of data for various reports and analyses
  • Set team direction, provide guidance and resolve problems
  • Develop plans to meet short and long-term objectives
  • Help develop/maintain standards for credentialing, database integrity and quality assurance
  • Assist in audits and data quality improvement initiatives

 

In this role, you’ll be part of a challenging, fast-paced, performance driven management team focusing on capacity planning, inventory control and overseeing provider data projects.

 

Positions in this function are responsible for various activities related to credentialing and enrollment for WellMed practitioners which may include any or all of the following: managing Credentialing staff, overseeing timely credentialing, re-credentialing and enrollment functions, primary source verification and performance of all required database queries.  Develops and maintains standards for credentialing, enrollment, database integrity and quality assurance, coordinates corrective activities to clean database and retain users, and manages communication processes with other departments regarding database improvements. Conducts audits and provides feedback to reduce errors and improve processes and performance. Maintains current provider data to ensure the quality of the network. May be responsible for representing the credentialing department on company projects, reporting and tracking provider information, or for the support, coordination, and production of the provider directories.

Required Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience in the health care industry
  • 5+ years of credentialing/enrollment experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross functional projects and making presentations
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Excel
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in tracking, trending and reporting on metrics

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPMSM or CPCS Certification 
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint
