Associate Finance Director – Remote

This role will support the Optum Insight end-to-end RCM pricing team and will be responsible for leading the pricing and financial contract negotiations for long term partnerships with large healthcare systems. This role will drive the economic strategy behind these 10-year partnerships and will require thought leadership to ensure internal processes are properly followed as well as working directly with the client c-suite to negotiate these managed services agreements.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Create investment, staffing, and revenue improvement models utilizing key inputs from key internal and external stakeholders
- Work closely with solution design and growth leadership to build a unique and strategic pricing strategy
- Shepherd the financial model and business case through all internal executive approvals while being the financial face of the organization to the client CFO to assist in the closure of these capture opportunities
- Evaluate contractual and financial risk by partnering with the Optum legal department and serve as a key negotiator in face-to-face meetings with the client and or their consultants
- Evaluate financial performance and identify areas for improvement
- Present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls

Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of proven experience in financial modeling, business case strategy and process improvement
- Astute leadership and team management experience (directly or indirectly)
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven exceptional communication and presentation skills to internal executives and client executives
- Ability to thrive in a subjective environment
- Ability to professionally handle the pressure of meeting multiple, high-priority dealings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare industry experience
- Experience with SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI or equivalent
- Ability to be a self-motivated, results-oriented and assertive individual

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $104,700 to $190,400 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
