The Account Receivables Representative position is responsible to process charge entries both manual and electronic. Review encounters, benefits and eligibility and document batching.

This position is full-time. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 7:30am – 5:00pm, Monday – Thursday and 7:30am – 11:30am PST on Fridays. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 2716 N Tenaya Way, Las Vegas, NV.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review encounters, adjusts charge tasks, manages charge edits, and make charge corrections.
  • Processes work files, corrects result charges and submits late charges.
  • Responsible for editing and correcting insurance FSC, checking the CPT and ICD- 10 codes, verify office visit type, verify that correct modifier is listed and follow up.
  • Workflow covers Adult Medicine, Pediatrics, and Specialties
  • Provide input to policies, systems, methods, and procedures for the effective management and control of the premium billing function.
  • Resolve most questions and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.
  • Review anesthesia charges to verify the benefits and eligibility, post charges, and monitor the email box.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR Older
  • 1+ years of A/R Medical Billing experience including Claims Status, claim appeals/reconsiderations, charge entry, payment entry and AR follow-up
  • Experience with and understanding of ICD10 and CPT coding – including modifiers
  • Experience with computers including Windows based programs and Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
  • Ability to work our normal business hours of 7:30am – 5:00pm, Monday – Thursday and 7:30am – 11:30am PST on Fridays. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medicare and/or Medicaid billing experience

  • Reside within a commutable distance to office at 2716 N Tenaya Way, Las Vegas, NV
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $16.54 to $32.55 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
