Purpose of Job: The Credit Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the review and underwriting of loan requests to help the bank build, maintain, and accurately risk grade its solid credit portfolio. This will involve working closely with other analysts, underwriters, portfolio managers, and credit administration.

This is a full-time summer internship position working 40 standard business hours Monday-Friday from June 3, 2025 – August 8, 2025.

There will be no exceptions to any early or late date requests. No early end date requests.

This position is in Draper, UT and is a hybrid position where you will need to be in the office 3 days a week. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with underwriting new commercial loan requests and performing periodic reviews on existing commercial loans
  • Conduct analysis of financial statements and assess overall credit risk of new and existing loans
  • Complete quarterly and annual covenant compliance testing for existing loans in the portfolio
  • Present analysis, findings, and recommendations to Sr. Credit Analysts, Portfolio Managers, and other members of the Credit team
  • Become familiar with all policies, guidelines, procedures, regulations, and systems applicable to the credit lending process
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of loan files
  • Assist with occasional data projects or other administrative tasks as needed by the Credit Team

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in business, finance, economics, accounting, or a similar field
  • Enrolled in an accredited college/university during the internship. Internships are not intended for graduating seniors
  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Ability to work full-time summer internship from June 3, 2025 – August 8, 2025
  • Ability to work in-office 3 days a week (Tuesday-Thursday) in your designated site location
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without any restrictions. Proof will be required
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship is not available for this position

The hourly range for this role is $18.00 to $32.00 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
