The Integration Nurse Leader is responsible for the training application of clinical policies, procedures, processes and operating guidelines for newly acquired clinics. The clinical training provided to newly acquired staff will ensure compliance with federal and state requirements, Medicare guidelines, URAC/NCQA/ACHA/OSHA standards. This position maintains continuous quality improvement efforts and opportunities directed toward achievement of clinical and healthcare outcomes. The success of this position requires the ability to foster communication and teamwork between clinics/physicians, market management team, corporate departments, and senior leadership. This position will coach and educate others in the application of clinical competency, translating complex nuances related to clinical practice into easy to understand training and terms. The Integration Nurse Leader will be responsible for carrying out the approved project plan for the integration, while maintaining all budget and time restraints. The Integration Nurse Leader will provide support for the clinical due diligence team and other operational partners as needed for a successful integration.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Clinical Training (planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating clinical training)
- Training methods will include but not be limited to, presentation/facilitation, on the job training, demonstration and performance, job mentoring, discussion, role-playing, simulations, and reflection
- Delivery of training initiatives that drive businesses growth strategies and promote growth and development of newly acquired staff
- Completing and managing the clinical training program, including the development of instructional materials
- Analyze department training needs and assist with developing new training programs based on the results of the analysis
- Plan, organize, and direct training and development programs for employees for the purpose of increasing individual and organizational performance
- Enhance the current and future organizational effectiveness by increasing employee’s abilities to maximize performance and productivity
- Promote, support, and leverage technology resources and tools to improve and enhance workflow efficiency and improve customer service
- Asks critical questions to ensure member/customer centric approach to work
- Identifies and considers appropriate options to mitigate issues related to quality, patient safety or affordability when they are identified, and escalates to ensure optimal outcomes, as needed
- Utilizes evidence-based guidelines (e.g., medical necessity guidelines, practice standards, industry standards, and organizational policies) to make clinical decisions, improve clinical outcomes and achieve business results
- Identifies and implements innovative approaches to the practice of nursing, in order to achieve or enhance quality outcomes and financial performance
- Serves as subject matter expert to support compliance with applicable federal and state practice health and safety standards, with a particular focus on clinical standards and occupational health requirements
- Conducts clinic assessments for compliance with state and federal health care requirements and Optum standards
- Remediation and corrective action plans, resulting from internal assessments, audits, compliance reviews and self-identified issues
- Provides leadership and mentoring for clinic staff to ensure patient safety and quality care
- Ensures clinic staff has demonstrated appropriate clinical competencies to perform clinic tasks
- Participates in professional development activities and education programs to keep staff abreast of health care trends and practices
- Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with a minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare (6+ years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing)
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state of employment
- 3+ years of related experience in a hospital or clinical setting
- 2+ years of management experience
- Experienced in the design, development and delivery of effective training programs
- Demonstrate proficiency in assessment, design, development, implementation, data collection/reporting, and evaluation of initiatives and/or programs
- Proven ability to establish cooperative and collaborative working relationships in the course of performing assigned duties
- Proven ability to manage and direct various levels of employees
- Proven excellent verbal, written communication, presentation and facilitation skills
- Ability to travel approximately 75%

- Training experience
- Experience presenting information to a large audience

- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to use fine motor skills to operate equipment and/or machinery
- Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing
- Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving
The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
