Cybersecurity Analyst – Raleigh, NC Hybrid

The team member will be responsible for a wide variety of information security activities within our NIE portfolio. These responsibilities will primarily focus LGOSEC across the NIE space. This includes conducting comprehensive firewall rule review using algopsec, identifying security vulnerabilities, and providing actionable recommendations to strengthen NIE network firewalls.

Primary Responsibilities:
Active Directory Security Assessments:
- Perform thorough security assessments of network firewalls using Algosec and related tools
- Analyze firewall ruleset, permissions, group memberships, and trust relationships to identify potential attack vectors
- Monitor for firewall rules that do not align with current policies
Algosec deployments
- Configure and monitor Algosec firewall tool to monitor NIE network firewalls
- Develop scripts and automation to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of Algosec assessments
- Generate detailed reports that clearly communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security recommendations are understood and implemented effectively
- Provide training and guidance on firewall best practices and the use of Algosec to IT staff and other stakeholders

Required Qualifications:
- 6+ months of network security experience
- Bachelors degree
- Must have at least one cybersecurity related certifications
- 6+ months of experience with Algosec ASM
- Demonstrated working knowledge of firewalls
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
