The Alliance Director is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships that drive revenue growth and enhance the company’s market position. This role requires a consultative approach to build and maintain executive relationships with key partners, ensuring mutual business growth and success.
- Develop & Execute Partnership Opportunities (25%)
- Identify and assess partnership opportunities to diversify and expand strategic alliances
- Negotiate and execute partnership agreements that align with the company’s strategic goals
- Measure, Analyze, Report, and Drive Progress & Outcomes (25%)
- Monitor and report on partnership performance metrics
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation within partnerships to achieve desired outcomes
- Collaborate with Stakeholders (25%)
- Work closely with internal teams including Finance, Marketing, IT, Business Unit leaders, and Sales & Account Management to ensure alignment and success of partnership initiatives
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments to support partnership goals
- Provide Thought Leadership (25%)
- Offer strategic insights and thought leadership to drive change and innovation within the organization
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to enhance partnership strategies
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. This position has 50% travel.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of partnership opportunities and trends
- Develop and implement strategic alliances growth plans
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within partner organizations
- Collaborate with sales teams to determine go-to-market strategies for partnerships
- Lead joint strategic account planning and business reviews
- Support the development and articulation of value propositions for partners
- Ensure client performance objectives and expectations are met through effective relationship management
- Work with markets and growth teams to develop pipeline jointly with the alliances partner and execute sales according to the growth plan and targets

Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in strategic account management, consulting, business development or related role
- Experience developing and managing complex partnerships
- Proven experience working with C-suite and other level of leadership teams as a trusted advisor while driving outcomes
- Experience developing and presenting to stakeholders
- Advanced level of understanding of the healthcare sector and current industry trends
- Proven track record of developing and expanding opportunities within an account portfolio
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time based on business needs in the US
Preferred Qualifications:
- Functional knowledge of healthcare information technology, data & analytics, and software development
- Intermediate level of knowledge in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, or other CRM systems
- Proven solid financial and analytical capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to gain trust and influence with leaders both internally and externally
- Demonstrated ability to tailor communication to different audiences while ensuing understanding and retention of information
- Proven ability to navigate a complex, matrixed environment

The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $160,000 annually based on full-time employment. Role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
