Pediatric Physician, Optum-NJ
Position Highlights:

- Full-time; Work-Life Balance; Flexible Scheduling (2-3 shifts per week)
- Local office hours are:
o Monday – Thursday: 8:00a – 7:00p
o Weekend Hours (two Saturdays a month only) 8:00a – 2:00p - Average patient load: Goal/Target is 3-4 patients per hour.
- Teamwork; Evidence-based Medicine.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage a complete continuum of high-quality care within the care team.
- Clinical responsibilities include wellness and chronic care disease management, as well as specialized procedures.
- Treat pediatric patients in clinic, typically 20-25 patients a day with ancillary support team.
- Reviews patient file/record, including allergies, problems, medications, and immunization status.
- Elicits and records information about patient’s medical history.
- Orders or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient’s condition.
- Analyzes reports and findings of tests and examination and diagnoses condition of patient.
- Oversees and provides collaborative support to Advanced Practice Clinicians.

Required Qualifications:
- Board certification or board eligibility in Pediatrics.
- Unrestricted medical license in the State of New Jersey or has New Jersey medical license application in process.
- Active and unrestricted DEA License (or ability to obtain prior to start).
- Active New Jersey CDS license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain prior to start).
The salary range for this role is $199,500 to $328,500 annually based on full time employment. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
