In the Client Solutioning Partner role, you will have accountability for a geographic region of the Provider Market.  Through strategic and consultative selling, you will be expected to build client relationships and develop customized solutions for clients to drive outsized growth of Optum Advisory and Optum Insight.  You will represent Our United Culture and demonstrate UHG Values internally and externally.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Help to craft Optum Advisory solutions, contribute to new product offerings, and execute Optum Advisory and Advisory Board go-to-market plans 
  • Maintain market and competitive awareness to inform strategy, offerings, value propositions and key differentiators 
  • Articulate market-relevant thought leadership that establishes credibility & elevates C-level relationships 
  • Lead development of intellectual capital and thought leadership collateral 
  • Responsible for new business development efforts including sales to new clients and existing clients. This includes sales of other Optum Advisory, Advisory Board, and other Optum Insight capabilities in coordination with relevant market and growth teams.
  • Serve as principal point of relationship and escalation for market teams (e.g., Market Presidents, Regional Vice Presidents, Strategic Account Executives, etc.)
  • Participate, guide and support RFI, RFP and sales processes and guide financial analysis for proposed solutions 
  • Drive individual, segment, and Optum Advisory targets and MBOs including sales, revenue, margin, utilization and Net Promoter Score (NPS) 
  • Collaborate with Optum Advisory practice leaders to coordinate an overall segment client approach and strategy as well as participate in individual opportunities as necessary
  • Drive exceptional Employee Experience and Manager Effectiveness results
  • Encourage team members to publish and speak with clients on case studies or market relevant topics 
  • Focus on people management inclusive of coaching and mentoring to develop and retain talent

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of healthcare consulting experience 
  • Relevant experience including accountability for engagement leadership, client relationship management and business development 
  • Experience in collaborative selling to healthcare clients 
  • Track record of success building long term relationships across the c-suite with healthcare clients 
  • Track record of success leading a team and coaching/mentoring future leaders 
  • Demonstrated ability to provide valuable insights and logical explanations when faced with difficult questions 
  • Proven ability to drill down to the root cause of issues and be creative in problem solving 
  • Proven ability to bring out the best in people and teams in support of a shared vision 
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time on a sustained basis 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing a portfolio of client engagements with a track-record of growth and profitability 
  • Experience developing value propositions for consulting service offerings

The salary range for this role is $150,200 to $288,500 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
