As a Sr. Manager, in the Enterprise Security & Resiliency Office (ESRO) you will be leading a team of talented engineers responsible for developing and maintaining Asset Tracking solutions for all of UnitedHealth Group. This role will be pivotal in ensuring seamless collaboration between globally distributed engineering teams and our customers, driving the product roadmap, and mentoring junior engineers. You will be a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing expertise in software development, cloud technologies, and security practices.

Location: Noida, Gurgaon

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with leader counterparts in the US to develop and execute the product roadmap.
• Design scalable, high-performance solutions for Asset Tracking.
• Work closely with various teams that own Systems of Records or Sources of Truth to query, analyze, sanitize, and ingest their data into our knowledge graph.
• Lead and coach a team of engineers in India, ensuring they have the guidance and support needed to succeed.
• Review code, provide critical feedback and technical guidance to ensure a high performing, high quality and maintainable codebase, and ensure the team adheres to best practices in software development including automated testing
• Unblock team members to ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Write and maintain high-quality code in TypeScript.
• Deploy to Production frequently, ensuring high-quality and reliable releases.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to align on project goals and deliverables
• Foster a culture of curiosity and critical thinking to analyze data and gather insights that lead to high-value decisions that improve the security posture across the enterprise.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends to continuously improve the team’s capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in leading large engineering projects hosted in public cloud
• Experience with turn-key projects starting right from inception to running day to day operations, with the ability to lead, implement, and manage projects independently
• Experience in leading and mentoring teams of engineers with diverse experience, preferably in a global setting
• Hands-on experience authoring scalable, high-performance APIs
• Hands-on experience authoring highly performance SQL queries, working with a wide variety of databases including RDBMS as well as NoSQL databases
• Solid understanding of automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code
• Solid proficiency in TypeScript and experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure and/or GCP)
• Proven excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, go-getter attitude
• Proven solid communication skills to inform, persuade, and teach stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity, changing and often conflicting priorities, to plan and execute while balancing timeliness, quality of deliverables, and team health and morale
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with globally distributed teams in a fast-paced agile development environment and manage time effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Apollo Server, GraphQL, and RESTful APIs
• Experience with graph databases and Meilisearch or Elasticsearch
• Experience with Containers and Kubernetes
• Understanding of Network Security in cloud and on-prem hosting environments

• Flexible to work in and overlap significantly with US East Coast time zone (Preferably 2 pm to 12 am India time
