Associate Patient Care Coordinator – San Antonio, TX

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM-5:00 PM, 40 hours/week

Location: Onsite – 4330 Medical Dr Ste 400, San Antonio, TX 78229

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Greet Patients
• Coordinate Patient Flow
• Assist patients with intake or admitting processes
• Collect co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles
• Schedule Appointments
• Verify Insurance eligibility
• Answer incoming phone calls
• Confirm appointments
• Manage referrals
• Request and send out medical records
• Coordinate patient transportation
• Obtain Prior Authorizations
• Fulfill all other duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
• 1+ years of related work experience including data entry in a medical office setting
• Ability to read and interpret office forms and insurance cards and understand referrals

Preferred Qualifications: 

• ICD 9 or 10 and CPT coding experience
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English

 

The salary range for this role is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
