Primary Responsibilities:
- Apply business standards, processes and requirements to set up automated processes for data transformation, loading, and normalization
- Build, monitor and maintain highly secure digital pipelines for the transport of clinical data for DRN projects
- Validate data relationships, mappings and definitions
- Develop methodology to analyze and load data and to ensure data quality
- Participate in internal and external client data implementation calls to discuss file data formats and content
- Monitor and maintain extraction processes to ensure that data feeds remain current and complete
- Monitor data flows for loading errors and incomplete or incompatible formats
- Coordinate with team members and clients to ensure on-time delivery and receipt of data files
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- College bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- 6+ years of Scala/Python/Spark/SQL
- 6+ months SAS/SQL programming experience
- Experience with complex SQL statements and familiarity with relational databases
- Health care claims data experience
- Unix scripting knowledge
- General software development knowledge (.NET, Java, Oracle, Teradata, HTML, etc.)
- Familiarity with processing large data sets
- AWS or Azure cloud services exposure. (AWS Glue, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Data Bricks)
- Proficient with Microsoft operating systems and Internet browsers
- Proven ability to work independently
- Proven solid verbal and written communication skills
- Proven solid ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects at any given time
- Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work within a solid team structure
- Ability to travel to meet with internal / external customers
