As their advocate, you’ll use your personality and our tools to help them through the health care benefits available to them, including helping them enroll in a new plan. This position is full-time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules (8 ½ hour shift with 30-minute lunch) during our normal business hours of 7:55am – 7:05pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 4 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 9:00am to 5:30pm EST, Monday – Friday. 100% attendance required during training. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

If you are located within Central OR Eastern Time Zone, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide an excellent customer experience by quickly and accurately identifying and accessing individual customer needs and taking appropriate action steps to satisfy those needs; inquiries may include:
  • Handling incoming calls on the UHC Rewards Program.
  • Identifying and communicating technical troubleshooting steps for activity trackers and the UHC App and MyUHC .com website.
  • Answer questions on program earnings and points.
  • Educate customers about program benefits and changes.
  • Respond to customers in a compassionate, polite, and courteous manner, especially in stressful situations when there is a need to communicate information that the customer may not want to hear.
  • Assist customers in navigating unitedhealthcaremotion.com and other activity tracker apps.
  • Consistently meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR Older
  • 2+ years of experience in Customer Service
  • This position involves inbound member calls. It requires full attention to work duties. Employees in this role must ensure they have uninterrupted work time during their shifts, except for scheduled breaks and lunch periods

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Health Care/Insurance environment (familiarity with medical terminology, health plan documents, or benefit plan design)
  • Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Experience with technical troubleshooting
  • Call center experience

 

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Reside within Central OR Eastern Time Zone
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
