The Vice President of Client Management is responsible for positive year over year financial results and retention of one of UnitedHealthcare’s largest customers. The position is accountable for several direct reports and building partnerships with all other internal areas supporting the administration of the client. Additionally, the role will work with strategic partners to drive initiatives, design, and execution of innovative solutions to assistant the customer in their vision to grow and service their members. The position has access to the customer’s C-suite along with all roles and areas to execute a successful health offering.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Remain visible with internal and external leaders, effectively communicate vision and goals
  • Ultimate ownership of client success including retention, growth of products & financials, renewal rate, expansion revenue
  • Lead and deploy an account team stragety
  • Collaborative communication style bringing complex customer’s request and outside partners needs together
  • Continuously Measure, analyze, and improve the effectiveness of client support by the organization
  • Develop and execution a business plans each year
  • Proven ability to navigate an often ambiguous and complex organization to resolve escalated challenges
  • Track record of solid negotiation and leadership skills
  • Ability to create a strategic vision and plan its implementation
  • Superior verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Sales insurance license maintained by law
  • Ability to manage complex relationships to build a solid, trusted partnership with the customer
  • Provide feedback to management and others to facilitate best practices

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years servicing medical clients
  • Understanding and experience with servicing public sector/union clients
  • Reside in the tristate area NY, NJ, CT

Preferred Qualification:

  • Understanding of the UMR platform

The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $240,000 annually based on full-time employment. Role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
