The Market Growth Director role defines the local go-to market strategy and leads the local sales team in delivering on that strategy to best meet our membership needs while outpacing the competition in overall growth. This candidate must have a proven track record of sales experience.
This position follows a hybrid schedule.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Multi-Channel Growth:
- Drive Medicare sales growth regardless of channel
- Proactively develop and execute strategic and comprehensive sales business plan for market to achieve/exceed sales goal
- Develop and implement the sales strategy to exceed revenue targets, including the demand generation plan and sales process for both our direct and partner channels
- Ensure membership goals are met, primarily through the acquisition of new members – but also through effectively and efficiently managing sales related member migration/retention programs in a market
- Partner with local marketing teams to maximize local sales leads and/or Direct-to-Consumer opportunities that complement national brand and growth initiatives
- Engage with key internal partners to drive growth & retention within the market
- Apply CMS regulations and standards
- Team and Business Process Management:
- Build and maintain a best-in-class team of Market Growth Managers through coaching, mentoring & development. Hold managers to a high degree of accountability through on-going feedback and performance/assessment metrics
- Create a talent pipeline to identify and develop future leaders for key roles
- Identify process of improvement opportunities
- Drive innovation & evolve strategies in the market with an eye for new opportunities. Increase system automation for reporting, monitoring and customer service escalations
- Manage the acquisition cost, investment and spend by appropriately allocating and managing costs associated with staff, marketing, and community programs
- Agency Performance and Strategic Opportunities:
- Grow relationships with agencies that sell our products and assess agency recruiting needs by market and new opportunities for growth. Present at large scale Agency partner events
- Manage all aspects of new strategic account development: prospecting, consultation, building strategic alliances, compelling proposals, relationship management and closing opportunities
- Identify and qualify new sales opportunities and develop plans for introducing new solutions through collaborative key agency relationships

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years sales team management experience
- 5+ years sales/business development experience
- Health & life insurance license must be obtained and maintained as required by state law
- Proven success exceeding company assigned quotas
- Travel up to 75% of time within assigned sales territory, overnight travel as needed
- Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $90,000 to $195,000 annually based on full-time employment. This role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
