Data Intelligence Analysts work with trading partner data directly. They implement new trading partner data files which arrive in various formats. In that process, they generate and document mapping of the data into Confluence – including relevant data crosswalks, particularly identifying the type of coverage each member in the file has which is crucial for downstream users of the trading partner data. Analysts troubleshoot reported issues with trading partner data from downstream users and developers. This role also creates carrier edits to create additional leads for carriers who are not formal trading partners.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement new trading partner data files: perform initial evaluation and mapping of new trading partner data feeds
- Analyze raw inbound trading partner test file(s) of various non-standard formats and create initial data mapping to ensure successful ingestion of new data feeds
- Utilize ConnectCenter, Availity and other eligibility verification portals to validate random sample of member data and plan types from new trading partner file
- Join calls/send emails as needed to address questions about new trading partner data as complete initial mapping process
- Document the new trading partner’s Confluence page used by developers and ops showing how we map inbound raw data to our standardized format
- Create data crosswalk tables in Confluence for critical data such as relationship codes and coverage plan types
- Analyze raw inbound trading partner test file(s) of various non-standard formats and create initial data mapping to ensure successful ingestion of new data feeds
- Troubleshoot issues reported with existing trading partner data files: analyze reported issues from development and/or downstream users of the trading partner data as escalated to this team
- Open card in MS Planner documenting the issue and track workflow as it evolves
- Review inbound trading partner data and our crosswalk of that data to our standardized file using SQL
- Compare inbound and standardized data to Confluence documentation to verify if the issue is due to raw data from the trading partner or if there is an issue in our mapping of the data to our standardized format
- Use PowerBI, Power Query and/or other analytical tools as needed to determine scope of issue and drive deeper analysis as appropriate
- Communicate questions and solutions to stakeholders to ensure correct understanding of the issue and resolution
- If a change is needed by developers, open Aha Idea for escalation to IT
- Open card in MS Planner documenting the issue and track workflow as it evolves
- Create Carrier Edits: analyze trading partner data for patterns we can use to create additional leads for non-trading partner payers
- Use PowerBI, Power Query and/or other tools to analyze trading partner data searching for patterns in groups, employers, to identify likely coverage from non-trading partner payers
- Utilize results from analysis of data patterns, verify member data in ConnectCenter, Availity and other portals to confirm coverage
- Create Aha Idea to clone lead from existing trading partner data to a new lead and create a new lead based on criteria identified in analysis and verified through eligibility portals
- Use PowerBI, Power Query and/or other tools to analyze trading partner data searching for patterns in groups, employers, to identify likely coverage from non-trading partner payers
