We’re looking for a detail-oriented Marketing Specialist II to help manage a large portfolio of transactional, operational, and migration communications to support Optum Financial account holders and clients. This role is part of the strategic marketing communications team and will help oversee writing, approvals, production, testing and deployment of both ad hoc and automated communications.
You’ll collaborate closely with marketing, product, user experience, client management and other partners to maintain communications which help our stakeholders make the most of their benefits programs through our portfolio of products.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Write and edit a portfolio of transactional, operational and migration communications, including but not limited to letters, emails, guides and forms
- Provide end-to-end marketing leadership on tactical communications projects from discovery to writing, feedback, legal and compliance approvals, to working with partner teams to deploy through the selected channel(s)
- Create and maintain repositories of communications portfolios to manage version control and provide greater visibility to internal teams
- Lead and participate in cross-functional teams for project scope and discovery and translating complex and technical business needs into clear, action-oriented communications for our stakeholders
- Learn the intricacies and provide communications support for multiple complex back-end product systems
- Bring the voice of the client and voice of consumer to the forefront of the work you do with the goal of constantly improving NPS, retaining client relationships, and empowering account holders use their benefits with ease

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in marketing or communications
- Demonstrated solid writing and editing skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear and actionable messaging
- Proven ability to rapidly understand a landscape of highly complex, overlapping backend technical systems and apply that expertise to deploy communications appropriately
- Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail with the ability to highlight and avoid potential roadblocks and challenges before they occur
- Demonstrated success managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, including complex timelines and interdependencies, while constantly delivering high-quality results
- Demonstrated solid project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability work in the Eden Prairie, MN, office 4 days weekly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience related to digital financial products or health care benefits
- Experience with managing and maintaining large portfolios of automated or transactional communications
- Experience building communications strategies and tactics in a highly-regulated industry

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
