The Senior Collections Representative will serve as the Subject matter expert (SME) for collections team as well as being responsible for the accurate and timely follow – up of accounts receivable including researching, analyzing, and resolving with the emphasis being on level 2 or above tasks. Identify trends and report those trends to leadership for resolution and to reduce future uncollectible AR.

This position is full time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime and weekends. Candidates must be able to work any schedule within those hours and in that time zone, regardless of their location.

We offer 4 – 8 weeks of paid on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for credit and collections
  • Understand payer prior authorizations requirements
  • Creates first and second level appeals and assist with payer projects
  • Mentor / train other staff members by providing guidance and support
  • Follow up on invoices submitted to ensure prompt / timely payment and escalate issues as necessary
  • Evaluates payments / denials received for correctness and ensures they are applied appropriately
  • Identifies bad debt write – offs and A / R adjustments
  • Initiate write – off and adjustments in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Identifies any overpayments and / OR duplicate payments, with investigation and resolution
  • Processes refund requests, in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Adheres to Regulatory / Payor Guidelines and policies and procedures
  • Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED 
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older 
  • 1+ years of Home Infusion Accounts Receivable experience
  • Experience with using Microsoft Word (edit, create, and save documents)
  • Experience with using Microsoft Excel (editing spreadsheets)
  • Experience with using Microsoft Outlook (creating emails and working with Microsoft Teams)
  • Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM CST from Monday – Friday, including the flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends based on business need

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.00 – $35.72 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
