This position is supervising clinic team, overseeing the daily operations of the clinic, and providing direction, leadership and guidance to staff.  Collaborates with other site leaders, providers, regional partners, and support functions to execute plans and achieve site goals. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day clinic operations ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies, Optum policies/procedures, etc. 
  • Successful operation of assigned clinics, including but not limited to, finance, people management, quality metrics, revenue cycle, patient experience, and provider engagement.
  • Fiscal stewardship of assigned clinic and is aligned with Optum Financial policies and procedures. 
  • Identifies opportunities to reduce expenses, standardize operations (Setting Pars or developing KANBAN) for supplies.  Includes maintenance and reassessments.  
  • Identifies waste and implements solutions for elimination. 
  • Ensuring the clinic maintains and embraces the organization’s culture and values. 
  • Supporting / modeling change management and promoting staff engagement  
  • Understands and interprets relevant healthcare plans (BlueCross/BlueShield) UHC Medicare, etc. 
  • Support ongoing Pop Health / Value Based Care Projects / Initiatives and Pop Health Workflow adoption.  
  • Review and share for Pop Health Metrics for their assigned clinics.  
  • Ensures day-to-day operations are continuously focused on the needs of patients to include access and patient experience. 
  • Manages all schedule template changes, appointment slot closures, etc.   
  • Ensuring schedule productivity metrics are being met where they are fully maximized, and patient care is not limited. 
  • Implementing Patient Experience initiatives, best practices, and workflows.  
  • Ensuring all clinic equipment is functional and meets the needs to adequately operate a successful clinic. 
  • Ensuring all marketing materials are up to date and relevant in the clinic. 
  • The clinic remaining compliant with health and safety standards and conducting quarterly mock assessments. 
  • Ensuring the overall maintenance and upkeep of the clinic

Required Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel)
  • Demonstrated ability to travel to assigned clinic locations

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 4+ years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Epic EHR experience
  • Managed care and/or ambulatory care experience
  • Experience leading projects or team
  • Proven resilient and adaptive to changing environments
  • Demonstrates an innovative and continuous improvement mindset

 

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $58,800 to $105,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
