We’re building something new. As part of Optum Ireland’s continued investment in talent and innovation, we are establishing a brand-new Talent Acquisition team dedicated to supporting our rapidly evolving business.
This is a unique opportunity to join at the ground level-helping to shape the strategy, culture, and delivery model of a high-performing recruitment function.
We’re looking for people with experience in fast-moving, high-growth environments-particularly in tech or pharma – who are excited by the chance to build, lead, and make a lasting impact from day one.
We are seeking a passionate and tactical Recruiter to join our new Talent Acquisition team. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end recruitment initiatives, partnering with hiring managers to shape and execute talent strategies that align with organizational goals. Primary Responsibilities:

Cultivate Curiosity: Develop a deep understanding of business areas to proactively support talent strategies, including workforce planning, skill gap analysis, bench strength evaluation, and succession planning

Strategic Consultation: Partner with stakeholders to align on business strategies and talent needs, set realistic expectations, and establish comprehensive sourcing plans and timelines

Intake Meetings: Conduct thorough discovery sessions with hiring managers to pinpoint hiring needs and streamline candidate searches

Candidate Selection: Execute candidate assessments through pre-screens, behavioral interviews, and presentations, ensuring a meticulous selection process

End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle, providing unwavering support to candidates, stakeholders, and hiring managers

Sourcing Channels: Identify and leverage diverse sourcing channels, including social media, professional associations, employee referrals, internal mobility, job boards, and early career programs

Technology Utilization: Optimize recruitment processes through effective use of technology

Experience Ambassador: Champion a positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment process

Offer Management: Skillfully negotiate offers, applying knowledge of compensation philosophies and programs such as equity and relocation

Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, hiring managers, and the People function to drive successful implementation of Talent Acquisition processes and programs

Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize data insights to influence business decisions, focusing on evidence-based strategies

Talent Pool Development: Build and maintain robust talent pools and pipelines to meet current and future labor needs

Relationship Building: Foster solid relationships with candidates for future placement opportunities

Required Qualifications:
- Experience with both high-volume and specialized recruitment
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Proven track record of successfully filling positions across various levels and industries
- Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment software
- Solid understanding of recruitment processes and best practices
- Solid organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Natural curiosity and solid communicator
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with candidates and hiring managers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualification:
- Proven track record of successfully filling positions in Tech or Pharma industries
