Southwest Medical, part of OptumCare, is a multi-specialty group of physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants consisting of over 300 providers, 21 medical health centers including six urgent care clinics, four convenient care centers, two lifestyle centers catering to older adults, an outpatient surgery center, home health, hospice and palliative care services,  plus E-visits and online options via Now Clinic telemedicine technology.  Southwest Medical offers patients compassion, innovation, and quality care throughout southern Nevada. Southwest Medical is headquartered in the greater Las Vegas, NV area.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 6:00am to 5:00pm, occasional overtime may be required.

Location: This position will be in the Specialties department and supports 9 different locations. There will be a need to travel to different locations based on the business need. However, once you are at a location you will be there for the workday

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide lead support and direction to front office and non-clinical staff. Function as first contact for customer service issues
  • Enforce customer service standards, billing functions to include patient check in & out process, cash handling, demographics and insurance information in the EMR
  • Oversee and monitor empanelment and call process making adjustments as needed to meet customers’ expectations, mediate patient issues and manage the administrative aspect of patients’ visit, ensuring that customer service standards are met
  • Develop and oversee efficient customer service processes including waiting room management
  • Responsible for compliance requirements as dictated by clinic needs
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher) 
  • CPR certified or able to obtain certification within 30 days of employment
  • 1+ year of experience in leadership including coaching or overseeing a team
  • Access to reliable transportation that will enable you to travel to client or patient sites within a designated area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the medical field
  • Excel and PowerPoint skills 

   

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.74 to $31.63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
