Seeking for Quality Engineering with a strong focus on automated and manual testing. Their background spans test design, documentation, execution, and troubleshooting across backend systems, cloud applications, and REST APIs. They bring strong proficiency in JavaScript/Python testing concepts, working knowledge of ServiceNow, and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams. With proven ability in root cause analysis, UAT support, CI/CD tools, and continuous learning, the candidate aligns well with the core expectations of the role

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Designing, documenting, developing, and executing end-to-end test plans, test cases, and test scripts for backend systems, web applications, cloud applications, and APIs
  • Performing manual and automated testing including functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing across JavaScript and Python-based environments
  • Analyzing automated test results, identifying defects, performing root cause analysis, and driving timely resolution to maintain high quality standards
  • Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and providing actionable feedback for production releases
  • Investigating quality issues, identifying underlying causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering and product teams to ensure seamless communication and test coverage
  • Contributing to automation frameworks; leveraging tools such as ServiceNow ATF, REST API automation, ACCELQ, or similar tools where applicable
  • Utilizing CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, SauceLabs, and virtual machine environments for automated test execution
  • Continuously learning and adapting to emerging technologies, testing methodologies, and quality engineering practices
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Engineering or Comp Sci with 6+ years of test engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science
  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in Automated Testing
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow
  • Proven ability to design, document, develop, execute and troubleshoot test plans, test cases, and test scripts for backend, web applications, cloud applications and APIs
  • Proven ability to perform manual and automated functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing on applications built with JavaScript and Python
  • Proven excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to analyze automated testing results, perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot to resolve issues promptly and ensure software quality
  • Proven ability to assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide feedback for production releases
  • Proven ability to investigate other quality-related issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Proven ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly; a continuous learner

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience in:
    • ServiceNow and ATF
    • ACCELQ
    • REST API automation / Web Services automation
    • Synthetic transaction testing
    • Mobile app testing
    • Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub, SauceLabs, Virtual Machines
  • Proven solid JavaScript and/or Python skills
