The PACS Administrator position will assist in maintaining the database integrity and reliability of the Enterprise Digital Imaging Systems, Radiology and Cardiology (PACS).

If you reside near Waukesha, WI, you will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for day-to-day operation of PACS equipment including image workflow, archiving, auto routing, and prefetching and other related activities to digital imaging workflow
  • Works closely with the imaging departments to ensure timely and complete capture of DICOM digital image data into the PACS systems as well as network transmission, RIS validation, and exceptions handling
  • Perform and carry out assignments in order to maintain system integrity with maximizing up time
  • Maintain patient and study level information in the Imaging Informatics databases and work as first call for system problems.
  • Help coordinate image and data information effectively and efficiently
  • Responsible for dicom and HL7 connectivity for multiple imaging systems
  • Completes all documentation accurately and efficiently
  • Utilizes chain-of-command when necessary for problem resolution
  • Conform to HIPPA regulations as defined

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 3+ years of related experience in information technology or healthcare operations
  • 3+ years of experience in radiology & cardiology PACS administration with demonstrated clinical imaging/information systems experience, including but not limited to administration, development, system implementation, upgrades and production
  • 3+ years of customer service experience
  • Advanced level of medical imaging, related terminology, corresponding equipment, and technical knowledge
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in patient care
  • Change Healthcare PACS experience
  • FIVOS experience
  • PowerScribe experience
