The position of Senior Data Analyst entails gaining a deep understanding of the problems and key metrics of the business with regard to Clinical Analytics and Affordability. This position is primarily technical in nature, but requires the ability to communicate data stories to non-technical business leaders.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Managing team workload and open requests
  • Prioritizing work based on business need and timeliness of request
  • Collaborating with other teams to identify synergies and opportunities for team advancement
  • Creating detailed Dashboards and reports to showcase business performance and opportunities
  • Maintaining existing reporting structures and adapting them to new data sets
  • Documenting and cataloguing design processes for future use
  • Taking and understanding customer requests, and translating those requirements to a completed product
  • Working with team members to improve existing processes
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements and operating efficiencies
  • Identifying business opportunities from large datasets, and communicating them to customers

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in US Healthcare industry
  • 3+ years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or related field
  • Working proficiency in Microsoft SQL and Microsoft Office products
  • Automation experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Healthcare or related field
  • Working proficiency with data visualization tools, such as PowerBI & PowerQuery

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
