We are seeking a dedicated Business Analyst to join our StepWise software development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering project requirements, writing user stories, and designing user experiences, with a keen focus on quality and user satisfaction. This role requires close collaboration with our developers to ensure a thorough understanding of requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Understand and translate complex business needs into detailed software requirements, ensuring that development efforts align with strategic business objectives
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for the StepWise software development team
  • Draft and refine user stories that clearly communicate user needs and expectations to the development team
  • Design user experiences to guide the development process
  • Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders across our US, Ireland, and India teams to ensure that requirements are understood and met
  • Utilize Agile methodologies and the Kanban system to streamline processes and enhance productivity
  • Utilize tools such as JIRA and Confluence for project management and Figma for UX design
  • Oversee the creation of comprehensive documentation and training materials for StepWise
  • Coordinate StepWise super user training to ensure efficient use of the system across the organization
  • Continuously review and refine documentation based on user feedback and software updates, ensuring clarity and accuracy
  • Conduct comprehensive gap analysis to identify business needs, propose solutions, and drive implementation within the development team
  • Validate that the delivered software meets the specified requirements and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years relevant business analyst experience or relevant experience
  • 2+ years of experience working on an Agile delivery team
  • 2+ years of experience with requirements analysis and authoring documentation
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects
  • Experience with Confluence and Jira
  • Experience with StepWise software
  • Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with international teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as CBAP, PMP, or Agile certifications 
  • Experience with UX design and tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Axure
  • Experience with other design software
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and the Kanban system
  • Experience in creating comprehensive documentation and training materials
  • Familiarity with APIs and software development languages
  • Proficiency in SQL and data analysis
  • Proven solid commitment to delivering high-quality work and exceptional user experiences

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
