Managing a multi-billion-dollar transaction network requires a relentless focus to ensure transaction activity is executing as expected. We are looking for an experienced operator to lead our transaction processing and settlement function, ensuring funds flow across our network to the right parties at the right time. This role will have significant opportunity to establish industry best practices for settlement controls, own rules-based monitoring workflows and grow a team foundational team within one of the fastest growing healthcare payment networks in the country.

 

Beyond building strong operational discipline for transaction research, settlement and performance monitoring, this role will be critical to supporting new-to-market product solutions by creating new workflows and capabilities to ensure scalability and efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Define and build an end-to-end operational infrastructure focused on transaction settlement, reconsolidation, and research across S3 and third-party network (e.g., VISA, Mastercard) activity
  • Lead execution of daily network settlement activities, ensuring funds flow is accurate and addressing transaction or platform anomalies
  • Establish and implement clear network controls for settlement adjustments, transaction reversals, working in partnership with technology and product counterparts
  • Establish a high-performing team to drive and support the operational roadmap for S3 and third-party network management
  • Leverage best-in-class methodologies for problem resolution and real-time, continuous production monitoring, proactively addressing defects or network issues
  • Partner with client and retailer teams to navigate platform and network issues, assessing impact to clients and internal stakeholders and supporting communication
  • Align and coordinate with core leaders and stakeholders across Product, Retail Operations, Fraud, Network Engineering, Legal/Compliance, and other key stakeholders to drive process and platform improvements.
  • Design and develop detailed and executive-level dashboards to ensure critical focus areas are appropriately prioritized and addressed
  • Produce high quality documentation based on implemented methodology standards

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in transaction operations, financial services or treasury functions
  • Experience establishing reporting, defining KPIs and ensuring adherence to SLAs
  • Experience championing continuous improvement projects
  • Experience leading a team

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or equivalent experience
  • Comfort and experience with SQL analysis or other related tools
  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously; strategic thinking with ability to build strong working relationships across organizational teams in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with non-technical and technical people inside and outside the organization

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
