This position will be field based at assigned skilled facilities. The Clinical Administrative Coordinator position is responsible for assisting our Optum NV Medicare Advantage members at the facility bedside upon admission to the skilled facility up through discharge focusing on ensuring a safe discharge plan and preventing a return to acute facility admission for our higher risk population.
Will collaborate and work closely with Optum SNFists and facility personnel.
This position is full-time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to work during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 2716 N Tenaya Way, Las Vegas, NV.
We offer 90 days of on-the-job training. The hours during training will be 8:00am – 5:00pm PST, Monday – Friday.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage intake of SNF members
- Work with SNF facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services from members and/or providers
- Process incoming and outgoing referrals, and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles
- Document and assist the clinical staff with setting up documents/triage cases for Clinical Coverage Review
- Handle resolution/inquiries from members and/or providers

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
- Must be 18 years of age OR older
- 1+ years of patient service/health care experience
- 1+ years of experience within the health care Industry working in a hospital, physician’s office, OR medical clinic setting and with health care insurance
- Experience with Windows-based programs including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
- Ability to work Monday – Friday, during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm PST, including the flexibility to work occasional overtime based on the business need.
- Reside within commutable distance to the office at 2716 N Tenaya Way, Las Vegas, NV
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of clinical customer service experience
- Previous clerical OR administrative support experience
Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for this is $16.54 – $32.55 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
