  • Building subject matter expertise on member experience across UHC Operations touchpoints
  • Exploratory Data Analysis on novel datasets
  • Development, evaluation, and deployment of machine learning models
  • Construction of dashboards detailing model output
  • Communication of results to stakeholders

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop reusable analytic frameworks and methodologies to understand complex datasets describing member behaviors in the healthcare ecosystem 
  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines and machine-learning models
  • Engage with partners to define business problems and design solutions
  • Communicate analytic products to stakeholders and the broader UHC analytics community 
  • Explore and link disparate data across UHC data domains to identify, scope, and describe new areas of analytic inquiry
  • Lead data science projects from ideation to deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in SQL, Python, or R 
  • 4+ years of experience in building analytics via Machine Learning or Predictive Modelling
  • 2+ years of experience leveraging Spark, Databricks, or Snowflake
  • Experience with common data science tools and platforms (e.g. Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Experience building reports and interactive analytic dashboards in PowerBI or Tableau 
  • Proven excellent interpersonal, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Healthcare
  • Agile software development methodology (Scrum)
  • Natural curiosity to learn more about complex data and processes

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
